The number one way to bolster your online reputation? Ask for reviews!
The number one reason practices struggle with this simple task? They’re afraid to ask!
START WITH A SYSTEM
Spend a few minutes as a team, and determine how you want to systemize the gathering of reviews. You can use a customer feedback platform, or the functions of intercommunication software. Make sure everyone knows who, how, and when you’ll ask for a review.
PICK THE BEST
Approach your best, happiest patients. When they mention how happy they are with the practice, or are thrilled with the results of your dentistry, that is exactly the time to ask. They are the ones who will be most likely to respond to that request for positive feedback.
MAKING THE “ASK”…
Simply say to a happy, complimentary patient: “I’m so glad to hear that! Would you be willing to share that? May we send you a text or email seeking an online review? It helps us find more great patients like you!”
AVOID IN-HOUSE REVIEWS
In the past, some practice used designated tablets to have patients write a review while still in the chair. Asking for a review in your office comes with a couple potential problems. First, the patient will have to login to their account on your device. That may be complicated, and it could violate HIPAA laws if they aren’t properly logged out. Google also tracks IP addresses, so a review OF your business from INSIDE your business will likely be thrown out.
This is a simple system and opportunity that is too often wasted. Gather the team, make a plan, and make the ask. Watch those five-star reviews start rolling in!
